Here for Happiness: Aniversary's and Lake Tahoe!!!!

I am laying on my bed in my condo looking out at the mountains! It is beautiful! We are hanging around here today after visiting an old mine town today!

Last week was Marcel's parents anniversary! We went to this old house in downtown Frisco that has been converted to a restaurant! It was delicious. His mom rented a convertible and we had a fun night out. This was celebrating on their actual anniversary date, Hawaii is in 2 weeks!

This past Friday we left for Lake Tahoe and arrived in Sacramento Friday night. We slept there and then drove into Lake Tahoe on Saturday. We are staying in this beautiful condo, each family/friend has their own condo in the same building. The first night we all had hamburgers and visited and had a GREAT time! There are people here that my grandparents went to elementary school with and were in their weddings! It really shows me that great friends last a lifetime! When they are all together it is like they are all 25 again. They drink and have a great time, Marcel has already said my family knows how to have a good time. He and my cousin in the Navy really get along well....aka drink and cause trouble! HA! My grandparent's good friends share the same anniversary with them, they are also celebrating their 50th, and my parents also share it and it was their 10th this past Saturday June 14th!

On Sunday the actual anniversary party was held a Harrahs casino! It was beautiful, there was drink, delicious food, a slideshow of pictures through the years and even their wedding topper from their cake 50 years ago atop their cake! I have never met so many people that knew exactly who I was, even my mom's old "barbie playing friend," it was a great time! On Monday the whole family, all 15 of us went out by the lake to have our family picture taken. I will put some of those up too! Tomorrow we are taking a lunch boat ride around the Lake on the Harrahs yacht. It will be all the same people at the party, and let me tell you we all know how to have a good time! Then directly following that I get my lesson from my grandpa on blackjack. He plays in tournaments and he is well known...I guess that happens when you gamble there regularly and you call it your job!
